From the July Knight Life Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped make the Jim Savarese Memorial Golf Tournament such a success. The generous support of our corporate sponsors and friends who sponsored memorial signs greatly helped us defray costs. A special thanks to John Nugent and Sons and my husband, James, for their sponsorship of the luncheon. Thanks to Meredith for all the work on the signs; and to Al Camacho and James for coming out early to set up the corporate and memorial signs on the golf tees. The weather was great and I’ve heard many positive comments from participants. Here is a list of our very generous sponsors. As you will see by the names, our sponsors are very important (and giving) members of our Knights community. Please remember them when you are looking for services. Our Sponsors John Nugent and Sons Our Memoriums Memorial signs were available to remember a loved one. These signs were placed along the golf course on tee boxes. In Memorium for Jim Savarese Joanne and Annie Savarese In Memorium of Hugh Mayo and Danny O’Brien In Memorium of the Hogan and Scoville Families In Memorium of John Herrlein Again, thank you all for your generous support. Stay tuned for details for next year’s event. Ladies U-Knighted will again sell baked goods and 50/50 tickets during the 4th of July picnic, so stop by our booth for some sweets and a chance to win some “dough.” Finally, I’d like to thanks my fellow Ladies U-Knighted members for their support during my tenure as President. Congratulations to our new President, Jo Wood, and her newly elected board. Please stay tuned for some exciting upcoming events. And last but not least, attention all gardeners. If you’re looking for ways to show your creative side, we are looking for volunteers. Our friend Cheryl Lusche has donated many years of her time cultivating plants and trees behind the pool bar (check it out if you have a chance). When these plants mature, they are planted around the Kof C grounds. Cheryl is looking for volunteers to help with this effort. If you are interested, you can contact Cheryl directly. Thanks again for all of your support. Susan Walthall
